Records include: admission registers for many State (government) schools; protective asylum files; early change of name (deed poll) files; divorce files to 1976; First Nations records; inquest files; early insolvency and liquation files; land tenure records such as Crown leases of all types, e.g. selections (farms) and pastoral leases (stations) as well as real property (conveyancing for land transfers); maps (cadastral and topographic); hydrographic charts; Naturalisations prior to 1908; passenger manifests for assisted immigrant ships from 1848; assisted and nominated immigrant records; Queensland Police Gazettes; staff records for teachers, police officers, and selected public servants; State electoral rolls; wills and intestacies (Supreme Court and Public Trustee).
