Outcomes of Fisheries 2016 QRAA Assistance Scheme

New net-free fishing zones in Cairns, Mackay and Rockhampton were introduced on 1 November 2015. An initial surrender scheme was administered by QRAA in 2015. A second round of voluntary licence buybacks took place in 2016. This report provides a summary of the outcome of the 2016 Net Fishing Buyback Scheme .
