OFT motor industry transaction forms

Licensed motor dealers will need some or all of these forms when selling a used vehicle.

  • Appointment of a motor dealer or chattel ...ACCDB

    Motor dealers must use this form before they can sell a vehicle on behalf of a client (who is the seller). This form is not required if the dealer buys the vehicle themselves in order to sell it later.

  • Disclosure of beneficial interest (Form 10)PDF

    A motor dealer must fill out this form if they or a close associate have a personal or business interest in the purchase of a client's vehicle. They will need to give the completed form to the client before the sale.

  • Statutory warranty and cooling-off period ...PDF Popular

    Form effective 1 September 2019. Motor dealers and chattel auctioneers must use this form whenever they sell a used vehicle. It sets out the cooling-off period and statutory warranty details that apply to that sale.
