Land Systems and Agricultural Suitability - Gulf Region Rivers, North West Queensland - GRIP

This publication set is a land systems and agricultural suitability assessment of the areas adjacent to several river systems in the Gulf country, North West Queensland. The project combined existing land systems and soils data with gamma radiometrics and limited field assessment to provide land systems mapping at an improved scale. Approximately 54,300 square kilometers of land was mapped at 1:500,000 scale in 1999, and suitability for a variety of agricultural options was assessed.
