Soil survey of the Lockyer Valley alluvial plains, South East Queensland - LOC

This publication set is a soil survey of the Lockyer Valley area, South East Queensland. The study area covers part of the Ipswich (SG56-14) 1:250,000 map sheet, restricted to the alluvial plains landforms along Lockyer Creek. Approximately 61,000 hectares of land were mapped at a scale of 1:50,000 and land suitability for a variety of crops was evaluated. Approximately 1,670 sites were assessed using the free survey method and 33 soils were identified.
