Criminal Procedure Review—Magistrates Courts: Consultation paper

On 29 April 2022 this Consultation paper was released, asking a series of questions about the current criminal procedures in the Magistrates Courts, the way processes work and views on possible improvements. We are also looking into whether the Magistrates Court should change its name to the Local Court, and if magistrates should be called Local Court judges.
