Cooperative and Automated Vehicle Initiative factsheet

The largest component of CAVI is the Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) Pilot, a field operational test of a number of C-ITS safety applications, including vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V). Internationally-compliant C-ITS technologies will be retro-fitted to around 500 public and fleet vehicles, and arterial and motorway infrastructure, in and around the City of Ipswich.
