Low-cost drip irrigation – representative economic analysis, Burdekin region
The report uses representative scenarios of farms in the Burdekin to investigate the economic feasibility of installing and operating low-cost drip irrigation. In particular, the study examines the investment required to install drip irrigation, the growing expenses associated with operating furrow and drip irrigation systems, and the yield improvement necessary for an investment into drip to breakeven.
